How to Submit R Packages to CRAN

Things under legendu.net/outdated are outdated technologies that the author does not plan to update any more. Please look for better alternatives.

Submit using web form or using ftp following the steps below.

  1. Upload the .tar.gz file using anonymous as log-in name and your e-mail address as password to ftp://CRAN.R-project.org/incoming/. "ftp" is prefereed to "sftp".

  2. Send a message to CRAN@R-project.org about it. The email should contain the package name and version in the subject line.
